Remove the drive from the broken lappie and purchase the correct 2.5" caddy (IDE/SATA), assemble and plug in to an available USB port and copy away. Job done.

On some speakers like that you plug one into the computer slot and the other into the other speaker. If they are not set up to piggy back off of each other like that, you may have to get a splitter to plug them both into the one computer port, but you won't get stereo sound.

....why? You're basically asking to make the task manager lie and show data that doesn't reflect the actual status of your hardware. If your processor is only capable of handling a single thread, then what exactly would the task manager be showing in the second graph? If you're about to say "But my friend has a single core processor and HE has two graphs!" that's probably because your friend's processor was hyperthreaded (meaning the single core was able to do two things at once and pretend like it had two cores). Again it all boils down to what your processor actually has on it: If you have a single-cored, single-thread processor then that's what your task manager shows. If it shows anything different then windows is flat out lying.

First your 320GB external drive almost certainly will be a 2.5" drive which does not need an external power source. Your drive may well be faulty but does it show in bios or even it computer management. It may be it does not have a primary partition on it. Although new Western Digital drives usually come with one on.

YOU *MUST* UNPLUG AND REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE PC BEFORE YOU TRY THIS!! Your traces are not 'burnt.' :) The keys are simply gummed up with old dried coke gunk, and that needs to be removed. You need to first research how to disassemble the kbd from the PC. This can be either easy or rocket science. I learned how to disassemble my Toshi from an excellent site on the net. It's easier to find out that way rather than trial/error because there were about 20 screws involved of about 3 different sizes. (I had to do that about 2x a year to vacuum dust out of heatsinks.) (I don't remember that site exactly. This was at least 5 years ago that I needed the site before I learned how to disassemble the Toshi, and then never needed to go back to it again, but google will definitely turn up something. Try youtube too.) When disassembling you need to keep track of which screw goes where, for reassembly. Actually it often doesn't matter much if you leave a few screws out - there are only a few critical ones usually associated with attaching the two clamshell halves together. The only 'bad' mistake you can make is putting a wrong length screw in a particular hole Once the kbd is totally removed you can drop it in a pan of water and let it -soak- for a day or two. The one time I did this with a full size kbd all I did was run it under a faucet for about 10 minutes, moving it in all different directions, but that was freshly spilled soda and it'd had no time to dry down to gunk status. The reason I say soak, for a while, is that *ALL* the dried soda *MUST* be dissolved out of every tiny crack that it soaked into -- it's easier to get soda -into- a crevice than to dissolve it -out-. OK now to dry it. Easiest is to shake shake shake shake, and leave it in the *sun* for a day or two. If, a day later in the bright sun, and you shake it an no water falls out, it *might* be OK to proceed with reassembly. Similarly, of two days later water still falls out, it needs more 'bake time.' No, DO NOT PUT THE KBD IN A NUKER OR ANY OTHER OVEN! That *definitely* *will* destroy it. If you have canned/compressed air, that's fine too, plus another half day in the sun. DO NOT USE 'SHOP'/COMPRESSOR AIR -unless- it has a very good quality *oil* *filter*!! Reassembling, you can 'half' put things back together to see if this treatment has worked. Meaning put things back together only far enough to get everything plugged in, but with few or no screws. Then see if it boots and the kbd works. Another tip. You might consider removing all the keycaps to let the water into the kbd guts easier. I just wrote a DIY keycap puller Answer a few minutes ago, and posted a pic at the URL below. On the plus side, you said 'a bit' of coke. Kbds have some protection inside to prevent -minor- spills from seeping much into the other electronics. The fact that you said it still works just a few keys don't is a very good sign. You have a very good chance of this surgery working well.

no you cannot add data to your c drive without re defining your partition and to do that you must format. . buti have a trick that will cut a lot of space from your c drive. . no need to worry i am not a faggot that wants to corrupt your computer. i am a sincere person who wants to help. . first, make sure that you can see hidden files. go to control panel, files and folders. there will be an option to see hidden files. then, go to C:\Documents and Settings\(whatever your username is)\Local Settings\Temp . you will see a lot of files there. select them all. delete them. . no, i can promise you this much that your windows wont black out. you have the permission to burn me on fire if it does. . i am pretty sure there might be some windows popping up that (name of file) cannot be deleted as it is currently in use. in that case, choose every file excep that one. . finally, empty all contents from the recycle bin. you will be surprised to see how much space the recycle bin takes up. . when i first did this, i cut don 2gb of space.
