Answer:
Do the best you can in school. Get a college degree. Get at least a 4 year degree. Get the highest grade point average that you can. Participate in a couple extracurricular activities (student government, sports, etc.) while in college. Consider doing some regular volunteer work. Consider trying to get an internship with a law enforcement agency while you're in college. Don't do anything illegal. Maintain a good reputation. Keep a good driving record. Don't get bad credit. Improve all of your communication skills as much as possible. Practice to improve your observation and memory skills. Become as physically fit as you can. Best of luck!

How to tell my boss I found another job?

I've been working at Aldo for about a year now, and I found a job related to my field of studies for the summer time. What is the best way to inform my boss that I will not be working anymore for her? And also, how much time before I quit should I tell her? I sort of waited last minute, and I will be starting the job in about 3 weeks.

How to win an appeal for unemployment in California?

I am an account manager for a company in California. I have been with this company for around 16 months. This year, they raised my quota 500%. I believe they are trying to find an excuse to fire me. If I get fired, I plan to apply for unemployment benefits. But in the case that they deny me, what grounds do I have to file for an appeal and win?

Answer:
You can say that they raised your quota 500 percent when they did not increase the quota for other workers, thereby showing that they were singling you out for termination. It would help to show that you continued to perform at your previous quota (the same quota expected of other workers) up until the time you were terminated. This is not a foolproof defense. The employer is within their rights to establish quotas and expect workers to meet or exceed them. However I believe that if you can demonstrate that you were targeted for termination and they mandated an unrealistic 500 percent increase in order to fire you and avoid responsibility for unemployment, you have a good argument for winning an appeal.

How to seek a job from the Competition while still working the same job?

What are the best steps to take?

Answer:
Often when you fill out an application, there is a spot where it says "May we contact your current employer?" You will often be offered a choice, 1. do not contact 2. contact later ok 3. contact is fine. Choose contact later. It means that there is not problem, but you would like to be offered the job first. You do have to be careful with this sort of thing, however, people often go to work for the competition, so it is not unusual. Particularly, in a place like Penney's and Macy's were there is a revolving door mentality. People don't stay in either store very long, so it is to be expected. Once you have your interview, tell the interviewer that you do not want them to contact your boss until after the process. They will understand that. Below I have included a link to Macy's jobs that are available. Just enter your state and job position preference. Best of luck to you. I know that you will do very well! Much success!
