How to remove a brand name from a knife?

in

I just bought a Mossberg but I wanna remove the name that's on the blade, how can I do this without messing up the color in that area?

No idea how to categorize this...
I want to remove the letters because I want it to be a clean solid black knife without the lettering on it.

Answer:
I don't blame you. I wouldn't want any product that says Mossberg on it either. hahhahahaha

How to get a California trappers license?

in

Been trying to find it online and cant find anything without going through and reading tons of crap, so if someone could give me a general idea i'd appreciate it!

Answer:
I had a similar problem. I lived in an area rife with californians, I gave up on the licensing, and just trapped the bastards, and actually decided that was far to time consuming. So I just started shooting the avocado eating smog producing fake tree hugging hippie f***ers on site. Careful though, in some places, they are actually considered people, even outside of their fantasy land.

How to disassemble a bolt action shotgun?

in

Today I found a very Old bolt action shotgun. I think it's a 12 gauge, but not totally sure. I'd like to clean it up. Does anyone know how to disassemble one of these? Thanks

Answer:
open the action, pull and hold the trigger and the bolt should come out the back of the action by pulling it back, if not, try depressing the safety and pulling it out. for the action, look for a bolt on the bottom of the front stock, unscrew and the action and barrel should come off the stock. that's all the disassembly you should need for cleaning to get it working shape again.

How to people sell weapons on the black market?

in

How do people so easily sell weapons on the black market? I know they get caught but many times they don't. How is this achieved?

Answer:
The black market isn't a reall market it is the name given to a large group of people that sell ilegal things like guns that might be ilegal or wepons of some sort drugs are also part of the "black market" black market is pretty much a community that is every were. How to get a solid grey or black patina on a case knife?

in

The knife is a case trapper lock with 6154L CV. As of last night I cut up some steaks and left the residue on the blade which gave is a light bluish tend and several spots. I have tried using potatoes and apples for past knives in CV but the patina did not spread even. What would you suggest? Thank you for your time and all answers are appreciated.

Answer:
You might try citrus. Orange or lemon juice ought to work. Or a sporting goods store should have chemicals for bluing gun metal that would give you a colored finish as well.

How to go about getting a class 3 firearm?

in

Im looking at getting a .22lr suppressor for a Walther P22, but not sure which one, and how does the paper work process go? Is it a pain?

Answer:
Look at the SilencerCo SS 22 Sparrow. It is completely user serviceable (which is VERY important for a .22 suppressor). You can also shoot .17 hmr, .22 mag, .22 wmr, and 5.7×28 FN. It is also full auto rated. But once you decide on a suppressor, check with Bryon over at Major Malfunction, he always has great prices and it can be transferred to your dealer on a form 3 (which only takes about 2 weeks). As far as the paper work process goes, once you pay for it your dealer will fill out part of the ATF form 4 on the item, then you fill in your personal info on the form (the form 4 MUST be filled out in duplicate). Then you affix a recent passport sized photo to both forms, then you get your CLEO to sign off on both copies. Then you complete 2 FBI finger print cards (blue ones), and the ATF Certification of Compliance (which means you are a USA citizen). Next you include a $200 check made out to the the ATF on the form, mail it all out, and wait 4-6 months for approval. Once its approved, the ATF will mail your dealer a copy of the approved form 4, then he will call you to pick it up. Your dealer will have you fill out a 4473 when you get there, then after that, you are good to go and can take it home. Your dealer should be able to help you out if you run into any snags. But you can avoid the CLEO signature, finger prints, and the passport photo using a Trust requiring a lawyer and more money. It sounds like a pain, but once you do it a couple of times, its easy. But be warned NFA items are very addicting, you can't stop at having just one : )

How to get my dicks employee discount on guns?

in

I work at dicks sporting goods. We are able to get a pro discount and be able to get up to 70% off of certain guns. My manager doesn't know how we are supposed to get this. Help please.

Answer:
as usual u are asking the WRONG person.....managers NEVER know ANYTHING about firearms in mass retail stores........D!@ks being no exception....... ask the guy BEHIND the firearm counter.......he will have bought some using discount if it is available....or someone in that department will have.... if for some reason they don't know either......means either A this is a rumor (which 70% off is almost guaranteed to be a rumor) or B u will need to contact corporate office to figure it out......in fact would be willing to bet u can look it up online in the policy and procedures manual........

How to buy a gun in Denver from a private seller?

in

It seems that the most obvious avenues for buying guns from private sellers (The Denver Post classifieds, and Craigslist) does not allow
guns to be sold. In other words, gun ads are prohibited. Surely there
are a lot of people who are interested in selling handguns in Colorado, but how do I find them? I am not interested in any type of
retail operation where I have to pay sales tax and jump through all the
hoops. Buying guns in Colorado from private sellers is legal. Finding
the sellers seems to be the hard part. Thanks.

Answer:
Have you looked in the Colorado Newspapers? (this state DOES exist out side of Denver!) I see them for sale all the time in the Pueblo Chieftain, the Daily Record and the Mountain Mail. Try yard sales and flea market. (they used to have them all the time when Pueblo had flea market) Also try the Thrifty Nickle and the Shopper (the Shopper even has a guns and ammo section separate from other sporting goods) I have also seen some listed on craigslist as farm eq. (against CL rules but still there a lot on Colorado Springs and West Slope CL) Gun shows?
