How to transfer to computer from Sony dcr-trv22e on windows 7?

I have a dcr-trv22e and was wondering how to import footage that is recorded with miniDV (tape) to my windows 7. I have PMB and a USB cable but my computer is not even recognizing the camcorder.

Hi Shorty,
You can't use a USB cable to transfer mini DV, you need a Firewire cable.
This means your computer need to have a Firewire connection. If not you can
buy a Firewire to USB hub like this one (only an example) :

And of course you need a Firewire cable. Mind that the connection to your camera is always
mini-Firewire. To most PC's it's normal Firewire and to most notebooks it's mini.
