How to care for a clipped and scared bird?

My Nanday Conure has its wing clipped, and is still afraid of us. So whenever we approach it, it gets all wild, and 75% on the time almost falls. I don't want it to fall and get hurt. How can I get my bird to trust me?

try wrapping him loosely in a towel to hold him. talk to him and pet his head. hopefully after a few days of this hell get used to you.
