How to save a document to a flash drive?

I've never used a flash drive before lol. How can I save a word document (Microsoft Word 2010) onto the flash drive?

If your using windows 7 or vista, if you want to save it directly go to file or the little blue icon on the left side and click save as then on the left side of the box you should see a heading saying computer and underneath it you should find the name of the flash drive, click it and save it there for windows xp find my computer and then the flash drive should be in there and open it and save it in there If you want to copy it over, then save it to your local disk (hard drive) copy and paste it into the flash drive in my computer (Computer if using Windows 7)
