Offer to make a deal, so for example you'll pay for it yourself, keep it clean, etc. But whatever their answer is, DON'T argue back or go against their word, because otherwise you'll lose their trust and then karma will come back to bite you in the ass. It's a tough battle to win, but hey if not then just wait till you're old enough to sign the papers yourself (: I've wanted my helix pierced for like, 4 years now, and my parents still say no :/ i'm a good kid i don't rebel i get good grades etc. But yeah to them piercings are taboo :/ So some things in life you just have to live without until you're older (: Oh, and also, as you might have depicted from the other answers.
